    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Pic of the week game

I have to go with Jedz this week. The scenery, and the rich color of the sky in contrast to the snow. Not to mention his insanity to ride in that kind of weather just baffles me to no end, LOL...

They don't care about the journey DOWN. They only worry about what you are bringing BACK to Ohio. I have done a lot of work out west. Every time I have driven out there, I have been pulled over on my way back. ALWAYS ask me if I have a problem with their dog having a sniff around vehicle...

    Beach cruiser GS 650

I can relate to that. I use the word "finished" lightly, as it does still need some road legal items added still. But, after all he did to it, that stuff is the easy part. I just meant that he didn't get half way through hacking it to hail, and then posting it for sale as a "project" for...

    Degree the cams?

I have an '83 750 engine. Can I put the intake cam from an '80 1100 ? I have a blown up '80 1100 engine, and the original '83 750 needs a valve job. Would be a great time to change out the cam.

    GS1000 full choke RPM?

Mine would start up (with the "choke" on) and ramp up to around 3500. I would immediately adjust it down to around 2000. While gearing up (gloves, helmet, zip, etc), I would have to adjust a couple times as the rpm's will keep climbing as it warms up. By the time I was ready to climb on, it...

I don't know why anyone is getting upset over this. One, the guy did a really nice job. Two, he FINISHED the bike. Three, he didn't do it to MY bike. And Four, IT'S AN L ! ! ! He rescued that bike from certain rust. I wouldn't ride it, but I can appreciate it for what it is. Lighten up a...

    JohnnyL's 1980 GS550L Cafe Build

A solid frame ground is essential to everything getting proper voltage. I can't be sure this will solve ALL of your woes, but I'll bet it will be your coil and spark issue. Either way, it is a necessity. I don't think your plug wires were an issue. I don't think you will be too far out...

Any good fillers other than Bondo?

Use a paint marker for your graphics. They come in a crap load of colors. Have a rag, or paper towel in hand to dab the tip in to control how wet the tip is.
