A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Had one of mine quit so I used a small pair of channel locks pried back the crimp and opened it up. It had gotten wet so the rust stopped it from working. Balancing a roller bearing crankshaft

There was an article out at one time dealing with vibration on motorcycles. the idea was to loosen the engine mount bolts a bit and try to wiggle the engine on it's mounts. Then examine the mounts for gaps between the engine and the mounts for space between them. Use washers to fill the gapd and...

    It Works!

Interesting, A P-51 crew chief told me to use wheel bearing grease on gaskets so they come loose easy and it lets them squirm around while the engine warms up and everything stabilizes. If there's a gasket or o-ring used grease it is.

    Dynatek DS3-2 Electronic Ignition

One thing that makes diagnosis much simpler is to mount a digital voltmeter on the cycle somewhere hooked to the battery. Horns

I found that I have a need to reinstall the original horns on my 1000, went to test fire them and found one worked as intended but the other was silent. No amount of WD-40 or tapping it on a piece of wood would break it loose. So I grabbed a pair of channel locks and carefully pried open the...
