A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I've used a telefix for near thirty years on my GS1000, made a noticeable difference mostly on low speed sharp bumpy turns plus easy install.

A new relay mod for yall

Relay Relay When I converted mine I didn't alter the wiring harness, I tried to design the changes to plug and play, with easy return to original. It's been changed not butchered.

A new relay mod for yall

Did this earlier this year when I converted to a blade fuse box, easy to do and reduces the possibility of smoke escaping from the wiring. Used a 15 amp main fuse like original though.

Did the carbs, now it wont start!

Try a shot of starter fluid down a couple of the carbs. Seems as if the engine won't pull through the carbs enough to get some fuel when just cranking over, once it starts and runs it should be alright.

    How to keep from oxidizing

Glasrit Glasrit As mentioned previously mentioned I used glasrit clear on my polished engine cases and it has held up far better than the factory paint. Like I said it still looks wet and is really tough.

    Original seat cover replicas

I tried one of those pit replica seat covers. It is heat pressed and the pattern is quite close to the original. Should be a good daily use cover allowing one to save their original seat for shows etc. Over all not bad.

    Clutch

Clutch Ever since the bike was new there has been a problem relating to the clutch disengaging. Seems as if a shaft continues to rotate causing the clash when engaging a gear. The plates were soaked overnight before they were installed about a year agao.

    Clutch

OK any thoughts? My clutch plates stick together when the engine is off. Start it in gear hot or cold there is a little lurch but once ridden it works just fine. Sitting at a traffic light go from neutral to first no problem, but shut it off and she's not happy. Tried a spare basket and hub and...
