A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Before making a bad situation worse....

I always try to remember to focus on a small section of the diagram rather than the whole section. This keeps your mind focused and not distracted by the multitude of parts/etc. Especially when it comes to wiring diagrams. With my sister, youtube has been an invaluable solution for working on...

    1983 Suzuki GS1100ED --- "Big Boy"

strong piece of advice: Never Modify Your Daily Driver to be your track/beat on/race/drift/whatever car. Things get out of hand quick with mods and soon you have a car that is no longer dd suitable. Track suspension isn't meant for long term dd use, it will wear out expensive parts quick...

Congratulations on the job. Some things to think of; Don't get comfortable, make friends but understand that in a heartbeat, fellow workers will throw you under a bus. Don't share too much personal info. I have been in workplaces where I know way too much about a boss/employee's life. Learn...

    Electrical failure on GS1100ED

Flaming, not that I'm some older guy with years of experience. Everyone who wrenches has to have at least one project that stumps them. A project that causes you and others to question your sanity. Anyone can plop down cash for a new machine. Sure summer is coming to a close, but once your...

    1983 GS550E, No igniter unit!

I was in the same boat a couple months ago. Definitely soak all connectors for a couple hours to clean them. I used rust removal solution. I replaced all but a couple of my bullet connectors with spade ones. Crimped/soldered/dielectric grease. I second taking the harness out. You never know...

bike looks good. You work fast. A girl that wrenches, yes please. If you need a carb dip alternative, try purple power. Works great, cheaper, more enviro-friendly.

    Rewiring bike...

What are you trying to accomplish, aesthetics or solve an issue. I assume the former. You seem to be new to wiring,it may be easier to clean up the existing harness to your liking. Rather than take on a full harness build
