    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Rich, Z1 Enterprises sold me a 16T front and a 45 rear, final ratio close and said a 530 112 link would work. That was their recommendation. So I bought a 112T chain. Hope I did not just screw myself. Or maybe they just wanted to sell the parts they had in stock. I asked about the 18/49...

    Yeah I get the 6mm goes on outboard side, so went sprocket, 6mm spacer then 1.5 mm washer and serrated lock washer to get all the splines cover so main nut can tighten.

    Thanks all. Think I will try to find that Kriol penetrating oil, let set for a days use heat again. etc. Last resort cut off when to make slot deeper. I used to have a 81 1100 so I have rebuilt these mikuni carbs several times.

    Working on my 1980 GS 750E project. Ok so I pulled the plugs on two carbs and can't get the pilot screws to come out. Did the PB blaster several times, heated up with torch. No luck. Now I am screwed. The one I heated up, the oring probably melted. Not sure where to go with this now.

    Thanks for the tips. Wheel is off bike, manual just states remove castle and pull axle out. Will try above mentioned tips etc. Wheel spins fine on axle. Seems stuck on brake bracket.

    1980 GS 750E Axle removal. I removed the rear wheel to clean it up and do 530 conversion etc. The axle will not slide out. The caliper bracket seems stuck on it , I don't know . Maybe I'm just missing something simple.

    1 to 4 plug leads measures 33 to 34 Kohms and so does 2 and 3. Primary wires measure 3.4 ohms for both. So it should be firing yes, but pipe still not getting hot. Plug center electrode not measuring correct compared to good plug. Getting new champion N2C non resistor plugs.
