    Shocks

Hi all, what aftermarket shocks do you recommend for a gs1000, it will be used mostly for cruising country roads, not a daily driver, the rider is about 225lbs and never a passenger... So what do you guys recommend, besides him getting a friend😜

Hi, welcome to the forum. No advice to give, but the year and model may help others give recommendations. It’s generally advised to put your bike’s year, displacement, and model designation in your signature, when you make one. The you’ll never have to answer this question when seeking info about your bike.

        What is your budget?

Here's a nice set. Maybe you can find some on this side of the pond used.

I used these on my 850 and am happy so far. They were about $250. There are different spring rates, but If you contact Progressive they'll help you pick the right spring.

Ikon & Hagon are reportedly better than progressive. YSS is meant to be a good option. A lot depends on budget
