    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hello everybody, my project bike has now been on the road for about 6 months. There are some photos in my profile album, and I also want to thank GS resources for all the guidance and information that helped me get to where Suzy Q is looking great and running smooth. Thank you all and ride safe.

A worthy build.
How much does it weigh?

Nice. Now if only everyone who picked up a Sawzall carried the project through to such a standard, there would be a lot less animosity towards it.

Thanks Bill, I must admit I have no idea how it weighs now. However she is more nimble than when in standard trim.

That painted frame really pops! Metallic or just high gloss colour paint?

Hey Justo, mate that's an awesome job!

I must've missed this and I didn't realise there was another Qld'er on here.

We'll have to catch up at some point, would love to have a good close look at the GS.

Powder coat on the frame, illusion orange/cherry from prismatic powders. It gets a lot of comments.

Gidday Pete, I'm on the Sunny coast and ride through the hinterland mostly, let me know with a private message if you're up this way and we can head to Rick's garage for a coffee/beer and quick blast.

Wow!

That's a beauty!

I think a smaller CC bike would be better...simply because it should be compact.

But racing in between pubs would be sweet no matter what!

Ton Up!

Not taking anything away from your bike, which I think is beautiful and very well done, but is there an actual seat cushion, or do you sit on the fiberglass pan. Makes my ass ache just looking at it.

There's a second pic with cushion...I thought the same thing but then again, it's not my bum on that seat... lol!

Ah, now I see it. I looked at that pic many times, the cushion sort of disappears. This really is a gorgeous motorcycle.

Agreed! Gorgeous it is!

But until ONE rides one, we haven't got a clue how good it is!
