I bought a beautiful 650g with 11k miles, but the carbs clearly need to be cleaned/rebuilt.

I'm going to listen to the warnings I read here and not buy a $30 kit from ebay, but where do I buy the OEM Mikuni parts/rebuild kit?

Also, what model number is this carb (assuming it's stock, which I am)?

Thank you! Looking forward to getting it running!

You will probably not need to replace any of the brass bits. They'll need cleaning thoroughly. You will need to replace all the O-rings and gaskets. http://www.cycleorings.com/

Gaskets from your favourite Suzuki dealer.

If you do find any damaged jets or other brassware, ask here first. You'll either find a member with spares, or directions on where to buy.

Assuming stock carbs, they are Mikuni BS32SS. As steveb922 said, the o-ring kit from cycleorings.com will take care of most of what you need. While you are there ordering your o-rings, be sure to also get the o-rings for the intake tubes, along with the stainless bolts for the tubes.

Yes, you can get "OEM" by ordering individual parts from any of the online vendors (Parts Outlaw is one of the forum favorites), but the cycleorings kit is just as good and a LOT cheaper.

For float bowl gaskets, go to Sirius Consolidated. The item you need is in the link.

You will also need some chemicals (Berryman's Carb Cleaner Dip is a favorite) and several days to do the job properly. Follow THIS GUIDE to do the job.

If you don't feel comfortable breaking your carbs down to about 250 individual pieces then putting them back together, there are a few of us that are willing to do the job for you (for a modest fee, of course).

Thank you everyone, I'm only now just seeing these replies!

Steve GS Whisperer, the link you sent with the carb cleaning procedure is broken. Could you please re-post it?

And just how much would someone charge to clean the carbs? I'm in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, and happy to do a contactless drop off/payment!

Otherwise, can the
