I recently changed the oil on my 1982 Suzuki GS450L and I stopped at the gas station afterwards. It was slowly leaking oil from the front of the bike. I'm guessing I didn't properly seal the filter cap or maybe the rubber seal/gasket was pinched somewhere. At first I thought I might not have tightened the acorn screws that hold the cap in place tightly enough. I ended up stripping one of the bolts off with the acorn nut still attached. Now I'm looking for a replacement stud. Apparently it's a simple fix, just remove the filter cap and use some vice grips to unscrew and remove the old stud bolt and then screw in the new one and hand tighten it.
Unfortunately I'm having a hell of a time finding the replacement stud bolt. I tried googling it and found these three different parts:
https://www.partzilla.com/product/suzuki/09108-06123?ref=null
https://www.partzilla.com/product/suzuki/01421-0620A?ref=null
http://www.adeptpowersports.com/oem...CzHw0n6nlw7rFdVc-SLv8G_kZhqkMoehoCQzwQAvD_BwE
But none of them have any GS models listed under fitment.
Whenever I try to search for "stud bolt" or "oil filter cap stud bolt" with my bike's make/model/year in the parts finder on partzilla or bikebandit I can't find anything but oil filters and random unrelated parts.
Does anyone off hand know where to find the right stud bolt?
