A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey all, i know alot of you are gonna tell me to upgrade to a bigger bike, but i really like this little 250. so, how do i go about squeezing every bit of power out of this little motor? thanx, and please go easy on me for trying this, i just like taking lemons and making lemonade. :D . by the way its a 1980.

I don't know anything about engine mods really .. but I have a parts bike if you need any replacement parts .. let me know.

Good luck with your project

you are going to have a real hard time with it. after market parts don't exist for the bike so either custom stuff or tons of research and cross referance. easiest thing for you to do is find a small turbo and give that a try.

Small turbo huh? would i need an intercooler? and how would i go about routing from the turbo to my carbs? seems like alot of plumbing if i go turbo. i was thinking about nitrous. but would that detonate the motor?

your on your own. i have no experience with 250's. might want to check out what the ninja 250 guys do or have available. i have never seen a built 250 on here since being a member. with enough time and money anything is possable and i am afraid you will need both and a willingness to get down and dirty and fabricate your own stuff.

really? i need to replace the master cylinder for the front brake. how much would you send that to me for? i'm out in northern missouri so wherever your sending from i'd probly say use ups. they're the best way to get parts out to where i live. do you also have the rear shocks? mine just about had it and bumps in the road are hurting my ass.

It will take me some time but I will get the master off for you ..

Rear shocks are available, but really I would advise to by new ones.

I will be back in touch.

Scratch the MC. i was working all night and used two spare MC's to fix the one thats on the bike and refurbished one of three calipers i had and now my front brakes work great. but i'm still going to need a horn to pass inspection so would you please set it aside for me if you still have it. thank you.

Two ways as I see it. only ride it down hill, or put a bigger engine in it.
