DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ive had this 77' gs750 for a couple of years now, it is my first and only still. Got it for $700 at a pawn shop in the middle of winter, rode home in a short sleeve shirt and jeans while it was 35*. I was completely numb when i got home and what wasnt numb was in pain, but it was an absolute blast! :)

I soon realized the only reason it started was the warm air in the pawn shop, this bike does not start below 50* so it didnt run again for a month. As soon as it warmed up though, my buddy just happened to get a 83' GS650 and we rode quite a bit.

As time wnt buy i released i really didnt like the way it looked and im a little worried im going to be scolded for it. I just thought the big ass turn signals and reflectors and front fender among other things made it look kinda ....dorky? Like a college professor in the 80's would ride this. So now it has no mirrors, turn signals (only because i havent installed new smaller ones yet) and no front fender. I put a 130/90 Dunlop D606 on the rear and as soon as they are no longer on back order, i plan on a Kenda Big block for the front. It has a 4-1 header with a slip on pipe that was completely open. therefor it ran like crapola until i realized this. So i took off the slip on pipe and threw it aside and found a washer in my garage that was the same OD as the header. I ground it down to a tight fit on the ID and it runs sooo much better now, has about a 1" opening compared to 2" (didnt actually measure it). Also installed full Dynatek ignition with Taylor wires.

I dont know anything about upholstery, but id like to shave the side of the seat to narrow it and get rid of the "tractor seat" kinda look it has and shave off the hump on the back of the front section. i think i could do that and get it recovered cheaper than settling for an expensive seat off a website that i cant even envision on the bike.
Also i want a tail light about half the size of the stocker. im going to do something with the rear tail section, i just havent figured it out yet, love short bobbed bikes but it has to be able to seat a passenger still. i have to get a little more travel room in there some how for that big ass tire.

thought about shaving the front forks, getting rid of the front brakes and cleaning up the handle bars. if it were a city bike only, that might be possible, but i came to the conclusion it was to dangerous to not have front brakes riding in the country.

on a side note, i actually ate asphalt for the first time yesterday. Was riding in some fields with a buddy, came through a ditch up onto the road and got bucked off... just minor stratches. wear your helmets! i bonked my head on the ground so it could have been bad if i didnt
