As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Need some advice please.

Went to change the oil today to get her ready for the summer season(I'm slow)....Put the pan under the drain plug, removed the plug and the drain pan (2.5 gal) filled up with an oil gasoline mix.
I drained All the mixture and replaced the filter.

I THINK the petcock was left in the pri position for 6 + months .

No attempt was made to start or turn over the motor with the gas oil mix.
The question I have is what to do next.
Just fill it with oil and kick it over , fog the cylinders first or what.

ANY tips or advice would be greatly appreciated .

THANKS

New filter and oil is all thats needed. I check my petcocks with two pop bottles and some long vacuum lines. Remove the lines from the petcock and run drip lines from each nipple into the pop bottles and let set in the ON position over night. If anythings leaking there is fuel in the respective bottle.

If it filled the engine that much, you should probably pull the spark plugs to allow any fuel in those cylinders to drain also.

Thanks for the advice. Good idea to pull the plugs and do a petcock check. I did want to check the petcock , just didn't know how to.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

Suck on a piece of tubing connected to the vac nipple a few times and see that the fuel in fact does shut itself off each time you release the vacuum also. Just to be sure its not seeping that way also. Its a good bet that if the petcock leaks youll have something in one of the bottles.
