Thanks to the folks, info, and advice here I undertook to tune up my 77 GS750. The valves are all adjusted, the carbs are cleaned and synced up. As I was driving around practicing for some plug chops to fine tune the carbs I heard some chain noises. After some GSR research I decided to replace my chain and sprockets. As long as the rear wheel is off I might as well replace the rear wheel bearings and the swing arm bearings. Here are a few shots of the current state of the project and my makeshift workshop.

Here is me keeping track of all the little parts. I first started by writing on the egg carton but this was hard to read so I started putting in little papers.

Looooking gooood !!! May I suggest some garage wood under your oil pan for extra support. Just to be on the safe side. I was right where you are when I thought Id pull the fork caps. Dont do that (Duh......) Baaaaaaad Idea.

Thank you, but calling it a shop is a bit of stretch. Normally my cars would be parked here. I'm quite a perfectionist about keeping the garage in order so that the cars can park in there. I HATE leaving them out on the drive. I mean, what is the point of having a garage if you can't park the cars in there. That was my attitude until I got this bike. Now I've kicked the cars out without a second thought I bet they are jealous.

I need to bump out the back and add a 3rd stall so I can have a shop and keep the cars inside. Maybe I will stumble on a big pile of money soon and get that project started

Well...shop is a bit of a stretch, but it is nice to be able to walk away from for a night or a weekend if needed and know it is safe and dry.
