All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I finally got the titlework back for my '79 GS1000E so I took it on it's maiden voyage to work & luckily one of my co-workers rode his bike in as well. He's got a 75(?) GS550 that he bought new. I clicked a few pics in the parking lot.

It's like Big and Little brother. What's funny is I'm 5'4" on the 1000 and he's 6'+ on his 550.

So do you guys call each other each morning to find out what each other is wearing?

Nice bikes you guys have!!

Took me a while to figure out the CR reference. I got the HD thing right away. In my lot there's usually a BMW, a Rebel, a GSXR-600 & a really neat Triumph Thruxton. Some dude rode his enduro into work this morning.

Yah, sometimes we coordinate our bikes and our clothes.
I wear oversized stuff and he wears stuff that's just a little too small, just like our bikes.
\\:D/

LOL

Nice pics! I take it you've enlightened him to the GSR?:-D

Very Cool, I have Yet to See another GS here in the Year and a Half I Have Had Her.:?

Very nice! I don't think I've ever seen another GS in the same parking lot with mine, although someone at an auto shop down the block has a blue GS1000.

Your friend's 550 looks exactly like the one I used to have, same color and everything. Mine was a '77. I think that's the first year they made them. Nice bike for backroads and around town.

Yeah - probably a 77 - the guy's on vacation until next week, so I can't ask him specifics. There's lots of GS's here in South Jersey. The guy I bought my bike from runs a GS1100 drag bike & I ran into a couple GS guys at the track the last time I was at Atco Raceway.

I've had the bike for over 2 months, but I just got it on the road 2 weeks ago. The more I ride it the more I love it! This winter I'm going to take the dings out of the tank and repaint the tank & tail. I've got some ideas for a solo seat that I might test out before then.

I'm glad to have found this site, as I've got a ton of questions now & I'm sure I'll have many more as I learn more about GS's in general!
