A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hello folks, I've been dabbling in so many toys as of late that my head is starting to swim. I recently acquired a 1982 Suzuki Katana 1000 in fantastic stock condition with less than 6,000 miles on it. I'm not going to do anything with it other than store the stock exhaust, airbox and carb needles and jets to make way for some bolt-on improvements. I was bidding on a Yoshimura exhaust on Ebay for it; however, I was outbid. I'd like to know what my options are other than Vance and Hines. I'm not really considering the Mac systems so what does that leave me with that will fit? I'd like to get a Yoshimura slip-on canister system for the bike. Will later years GSXR systems fit? ~Gene :D

1982 Suzuki GS1100E stock with K&N Pod Filters, Stage III Jet Kit and Bassani Competition Exhaust with Rebuildable Baffle (No, you can't have it)

1973 Ford Bronco, stock 302 with mild performance mods (going to a 351 Windsor), Bulletproof C-4, twin-stick Dana 20, Hydroboost brakes, power steering, Dana 44 with locker in front, Ford 9 inch in rear with Detroit Locker, 8 inch lift riding 35 inch rubbers on beadlocks and an old school winch to pull the Jeeps out.

there are a few supertrap headers on ebay from time to time, yosh, kerker, wolf, bassani, lazer(not the best)

Don't like V&H?

Vance and Hines

Vance and Hines

Is the Vance and Hines exhaust for the Katana good? I'm just not sure how it compares performance wise to Yoshimura. Do you run them on your customs? ~Gene

I found a V&H 4-1 street chrome at www.morepoweracing.com for $254.95 for my GS. The rest of the major online shops wanted about $290. I'm no authority, but I think most people use the V&H system because it was the top choice 20yrs. ago, and completes the look and sound of the era. But what do I know, I was 11 when this bike came out.
