I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Anyone else excited about the start of MotoGP season?

Please hold back on the spoilers until a week or so has passed. I've got the races recorded, but haven't watched them all yet.

That said, I agree with you about AE. I'm so happy for him and Aprilia. They seem to have a really competitive package for this year.

A week or so...that's asking a bit much don't ya think? I hate spoilers as much as the next guy...but they race back to back weekends this week...lol

Ok Ed, it's your thread so I will comply, however waiting a week after the results have been published before discussion is arbitrary. I will begin a new thread for immediate discussion of results.

I don’t really watch tv or any other racing, but I love MotoGP. I usually only catch highlights on YouTube though. I like the battle between the big bangers and the inline 4s

My understanding is that people don’t like Marquez because he’s too risky.

MotoGP qualifying was super exciting today. Track conditions changing from wet to (mostly) dry. Crashes all over the place. Wow! If the race is half as exciting, we are in for a treat!

What’s a team called if it’s not a factory team? I just read Aprilia got factory status this year, so what were they last year? We’re they not allowed to ride prototypes or something?

It's kinda hard to get excited about something which you don't know what it is. I'm going to assume MotoGP is a race of some sort.

There’s a movie/documentary called Hitting the Apex. It’s really good at covering many aspects of MotoGP. Brad Pitt is the voice. It’s what got me into it and I never really cared much about racing before.

Having different riders win every week is making the season exciting.

Yeah I don’t get it Ed. And Suzuki is going to have to break a contract with Motogp that was to see them committing until 2026…that won’t be cheap. But it looks like the board is looking for ways to save money big time. They pulled cars out of North America in 2014 and I hear a vicious rumour that they could do the same with motorcycles. :(

This just in.........

Epic bummer!!! Suzuki was doing really well.

I wonder how much money it cost them to run the team? A LOT, I'm sure. But the scope of Suzuki's involvement was much smaller than that of Ducati, for example, and they have quite a lot of bikes on the grid.

Suzuki's involvement in racing has always been sponsor dependent. Money's tight at the moment so it's not really that much of a surprise.

Well MotoGP is Huge in Europe, not much in USA. Maybe not much in Asia either?
Ducati is serious about MotoGP because they are European. Why is BMW not in MotoGP?
All the Japanese bike factories have more money than Ducati, but are spending way less.
Kawasaki dropped out, Suzuki is saying goodby. Honda and Yamaha seem apathetic about R & D, because only 2 superstars can win on their bikes.
Seems manufacturers get much more exposure in superbike racing, for the money invested.
When a wise buyer shops for a performance bike, they consider superbike race results. MotoGP bikes have nothing to do with factory street bikes.
Looks like superbikes are rare on Asian streets, I see only small displacement bikes there.
