Have you considered acupuncture?
I'm not going to elaborate, as I have never done it, but wife & son have had various acute pains relieved by it.

I did a Google search and there are quite a few in my neighborhood. I'm going to start phoning Monday morning but I need to know what the device you are referring to is called ..... Is it the one in the below link ?

That seems like it.

They use it on my back so I never got to actually see it in use.

I know it has a very wide range of adjustments in reach, pressure and, of course positioning by the user.

It literally bumps against the skin with must enough pressure to move the vertebrae a tiny bit. It might be two or three bumps with checks between.

The lower back takes more pressure to move as the bones are larger than higher up, but when I had a neck problem similar to yours I really was astonished at its effectiveness.

Note...My problem arrived on a Friday night and .I went in after only two days (Monday) and it was resolved right away.

You have been more than a full week, so muscles may be in spasm and harder to relax and a second visit might be necessary.

I do not accept the advice for regular treatments. I just want it fixed NOW and go home. If the problem comes back, I will return. OTherwise I stay home.

I have been seeing chiropractors for decades

It began in my twenties when I slipped on oil while carrying heavy weight.... crushed a couple of discs. I was told I would feel it more as I aged. They were right.

More damage to mid-back when I was hit by a car and the bike went into the back of another. My own sissy bar cracked two vertebrae and ripped muscles loose.
Still more damage when my bike was hit by a car while stopped behind a truck on an exit ramp.....I was told I flew up above the truck! Harder than that was I landed on my back....more disc fracturing.

And years of other stuff in between.

EG I had to stop working on car engines as bending over a fender for more a couple of minutes causes pain and pushing it even longer leads to me needing one of those chiropractors..........again.

Fortunately, I have a great Indian mechanic. who not only knows what to do, he does actual repairs, not just part replacements.
Finding him was almost literally a miracle.: before we were married my wife was coming to visit me and she had problems steering the car on the highway.
She was very nervous about it so she called me and I told her to get off the highway at next exit and stop at first mechanic shop she saw.

When she told the mechanic how she got there he just stood in disbelief as there was nothing keeping her left front wheel on the car... .every retaining nut was missing.

He repaired it free of charge.
