    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

back fire after carb. sync.on gs 1150

hi today I sync my carb. and when I finish it seems to do back fire

what should I do to remove those back fire (ajusting the fuel ???)
 
When does it backfire? On startup, when applying throttle, deceleration? Need to know to help diagnose.

the bike does back fire on when I hold my speed (80 km/h at 4000rpm) then you can heard a little pow pow when back firing

just to let you know I didn't try to play with the mixture ( i think)

if I have turn the screws for air on the 4 carb.like the pic.

is my mixture is now bad?

if yes how can I correct that ?

Please check out my post about carb leaks I just posted. Are you sure the air box is on totally sealed?
 
Sounds like a lean condition either due to air leaks or lean pilot air screw adjustment. Do you have stock exhaust pipes? Airbox? Rejetted carbs?
 
no I have 4 in 1 , with standard (original) airbox , with all the answer everybody gives I'm goona check for a vaccum leak ,and i will cjeck my spark plug after my ride this afternoon

If i'ts lean do I have to turn clockwise or c-c-wise ?

which one do what ( clockwise give more air ,or the opposite)?

Counter clockwise if you're trying to reduce a lean condition.

The bike probably is running lean if the jetting is stock and 4-1 pipe was added.
 
I talk with some guys at work and everyone says to do not touch my air screw cause I can burn my piston ( hot point)

they suggest me to go up in my pilot jet to have more gaz.

now I checked my air screw and I give 1 1/8 on each, do you think it's good ?
