A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Bandit wheels

I have tried but I am unable to get an answer. I have a 1999 bandit 1200 front end on my 1000. I need wheels and have found some very nice 2003 wheels from a 1200 bandit. They are the same size, will they along with their disks fit the 1999 forks, they are different p/n on the parts books.

Thanks,
Daryl

I haven't tried that combinaison but GSXR 1100 (K/L/M) wheels will fit Bandit 1200 forks.
Beware of the disk offsets.
They are different between the Bandit 1200 and the GSXR 1100.
They could be different between the B12 phase 1 and 2.
You can check here: http://metalgear.com.au/searchByBikeModel.php?model_name=GSF1200&x=36&y=6

Thanks John, that is a great site. According to the site the disks from both generations are identical. So they shoud bolt up no problem as the sizes of the wheels are the same!

Thanks again,
Daryl

The only problem is the the 03 Bandit wheel does not have the speedo drive on the front wheel. The 1996 to 2000 Bandit have the speedo drive. Other than that they are the same

You are correct, I have access to an incredible machine shop and terribly skilled personnel and I am sure we can do something about that. ;)

Or I could just install one of the newer aftermarket multi display units.

As it stands I have both the front and rear wheels from an 03 on the way:)

Cheers,
Daryl

The back wheel should fit as well it is the same size axle. I switched my Bandits the 99 to a Busa frontend and wheels and my 01 to a GSXR1000 frontend and wheels. So I put a Bandit rear wheel on my GS1150. And the GS and the Bandit sprockets are the same bolt pattern plus the Bandit countershaft is the same spline as the GS's Makes switching to 530 set up a snap

From the research I have done the 5.5 bandit rear will bolt up to my gs1100 swing arm with just a few new spacers. The crush drive will also bolt up.

Can't wait to do this swap, this is going to really update the look of this 1000!
