    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I heard that bassani was making pipes again. I used to have a phone number of a guy in fla that knew them i will try and locate it. I still have an old one myself. I had an 83 1100e stock motor 36mm GSXR carbs, K&N's, cams set at 106. The kerker made 108hp on the dyno, the vance and hines made 112hp, the bassani made 116hp. The bassani has been on a 78gs1000, 82 katana, 83 1100e and my 841150es.

Hey Brad are those the CV type carbs

Thanks Brad

You combo sounds great. I hope to get the same results from my mods.

I got some 38mm GSXR 750 CV carbs, G4 cams that are going on a 13.5-1 1166 engine very soon.

hey brad;

Bassani has been making pipes for a long time unfortunatly only for automobiles and trucks. They also make pipes for harleys but last time i checked not for any other bikes.

They have a web site if you want to check its bassani exhaust.com.

I have used their pipes on all my gs bikes but only have one on my 83 katana1100 now. I always used the racing baffle as it made some serious hp. only problem was law enforcement could hear me coming for 3/4 of a mile. That used to be the big joke around town years ago when i was younger and dumber.

Hello guys
I had a good laugh at the thought of hearing you for 3/4 of a mile. I too have a Bassini on my 81 GS 1100E, I have but one ? how can I make it run quieter I have packed the baffle with glass but it does nothing to make it quieter. Any help will be much appreciated as I would love to use this pipe again.
Regards, Archie

hey archie anderson;

Its nice to know i wasn't the only one to have loud pipes. Bassani made two baffles for their pipes. One was a street baffle which restricted the pipe considerably the other was a racing baffle which is probably what you have. They didn't recomend this baffle for street use which i can see why. But being young at the time i didn't care.

About the only recourse is to see if anyone has a street baffle(which is rare)because like you found you can't put enough fiberglass around it to help.

Anyhoo when i was stopped one time for racing a vette the sheriff said his buddy who lived almost a mile off the road said he could hear me when i got on it. It was pretty quiet until around 5grand then you knew you had a bassani pipe and so did everyone else around.
