A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Not sure if anyone else has already been over this in another thread but my clutch actuator I believe it is randomly let go of the cable lost the clutch needless to say so my question is does anyone have a picture of what it should look like or know of a place where I could source a new one for reference it is a 1985 gs300l. Thanks in advance

Check the OEM parts fishe, such as on Partilla. The worm screw mechanism is same as the 450. They rarely fail. You may have some other problem. Did you pull the engine cover yet? If not, I'd do that. And make sure to use an impact driver on the screws or they may strip.

Yes I pulled the cover can't figure out how to upload a picture but the issue is the little riveted piece that the cable attached to broke and let go of the cable thanks for the info on it being the same as the 450. I checked partzilla and that didn't show any for a 300 I will look again for a 450. Is it the same as a 550 by chance I have one that I could borrow it from if so

Partzilla shows this PN. I did a search on ebay and got a couple of hits...23200-44101

Thank you I will do some digging and see if I can find it with the pn will keep posted I have found a few complete covers with one still attached on eBay was just hoping to be riding again a little sooner than shipping can take there

Hi NewGS Guy..The cable end can fall out of these easily when cable is slack. It happens when you put the casing back on while lining it up to the Clutch Push pin ...so if you get a new one, use a bit of wire twisted cunningly to keep it all together while replacing cover... This might have been what B*ggrd original.

UPDATE:. Part is same on the 550 as well so I put the cable end and the actuator from the other bike in seems to be working fine put about 100miles on the bike yesterday and it worked fine (the adjustment on the back of the actuator was messing with me hard tho)
