A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Dynojet kit on GS 1150

Dynojet kit on GS 1150

Ok: 85 1150ES with a Dynojet stage III kit. K&N Pods and a Supertrapp S/S pipe with a lot (24) of Discs and racing (open) cap and full Dyna S ignition and coils. I have been chasing the jetting all over on this thing. Seems really rich at low revs, and not very crisp throttle response in the midrange. The main jet seems about right though. I am running 140 mains now. I had the needles in the middle (third from bottom) groove last year and It just wasn't running crisp in the lower midrange so I fattened it up a little by raising the (2nd groove from bottom) needles one clip. This really woke the bike up above 3500 but created a major hole below it. So much so that I had to go back to the third groove. I followed the advice from the Factory Website (http://www.factorypro.com/) and reset my float levels (22mm from the flange). They seemed to be way high. Factories jetting information seems sound. He goes into how the float level can affect everything from idle to redline. I reset my needles back down to the second notch and put in a fresh set of Iridium plugs. So now I am just waiting for a good day to ride it and check all this out.

The point to all this is that Dynojets instructions are not great! The factory guy goes into a lot better detail in my opinion. The newer kits they sell include the 160 pilot air jets. My kit did not. If the changes above don't help I may buck up for a set of these. Anybody made this change? :?:

I bought the DynoJet 160 airjets and installed them in my bike. They helped out crusing RPM's (3k-5k) by making the motor more responsive. The down side is that it's a bitch to crank when cold. Maybe somewhere around 140's might be a good trade off. My bike is still not right but I'm trying to go through all the other stuff, valve adjustment, carb sync, etc before I start on the jetting again. Mike J
