A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Dennis Kirk Price Match = Excellent As Usual

I was checking to see if they had a sale on some Progressive 412 shocks I have been looking at and saw they had a price match policy on orders over $ 100. I had not noticed this before but posted recently about a place I found that had them at the best price I could find but it was from a company I had never heard of. BWringer  posted a link to another on-line vendor that had them very close to the same price with a good reputation. I called Dennis Kirk up to see if they would match the price and they did by $ 1. The live  and helpful person I spoke with ran a dummy order through to verify the pricing and also matched the S & H rate from the other company. It took about 10 - 15 minutes but I saved $ 35 from the DK price which was $ 40 less than list price to begin with. As usual they are in stock at DK and I should have them Tuesday. Long story short I got the shocks for the best price I could find from IMHO the best online vendor out there. A pleasure to do business with. BTW Progressives for 212.00 shipped, one set left in stock.

Dave, that includes the springs. I think for the 12 series you buy the springs and dampers seperately and assemble. The 412's come in standard duty 412-4211C and heavy duty 412-4212C. I am about 175 lbs. have a set of the std duty on my 1000 and they are excellent, the preload is up two notches. I got the HD ones for the 850 this time to try them out. DK has probably had the price match for awhile but I had not noticed it before. It makes their normally competetive prices even better.
