A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I recently bought a dynatek dyna2000 ignition kit from atvgalaxy on ebay, they claimed to have 10 in stock and 2-3 days in your hands. after the first week went by i finally called them, a lady told me they were sent out yesterday they should be there at the end of the week. the end of week 2 comes, no parts still. monday i called again and got the manager, he told me he normally does have them in, however since my bike is a 850 they had to order it because the pickup coils are different. week 3 i finally get a shipping confirmation, early week 4 i get my part, and right on the front of the box it says "77-83 gs750-1100", so the parts was the same as the ones he supposedly had in already and it was more bs. the price was only $20 cheaper than the next place, but cost me 3-4 weeks of riding time, when i couldve gotton it from many other sources w/in a reasonable amount of time. dont buy from them unless you cant afford the few extra dollars, and dont need it this month. i looked up their reviews and its the most common complaint they have, they claim to have it in stock, but really dont.

??? I've bought a number of things from them and had zero problems and fast delivery too.
Luck of the draw I guess...

There are several vendors constantly mentioned on this board (Z1 is one of them) where people always sing praises about their service. Yet people here still try to save a couple $$ by buying from the cheapest vendor they can find on ebay, and complain when something goes wrong.

Many "ebay stores" are nothing more than some guy and his wife working out of their basement by ordering out of a Parts Unlimited catalog when they get your purchase. They are counting on their vendors to have the item in stock to fulfill the order rapidly.

They don't have a warehouse to maintain and pay rent and taxes on, they don't have employees to pay, they don't have a website that needs maintenance and updating. The only thing they have is a 30% discount from a couple wholesalers in the motorsports industry. That's it.

You get what you pay for.
