    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

dynojet stage 3 installation question

In the kit it indicates I should install the main air correctors. There is something in this hole now, should I remove it and if so how?
 
The main air corrector is a replacement main air jet. That should be the main air jet in the hole. A carb schematic looks like it's just a press fit. If your Dynojet instructions (like mine) show that the installation requires tapping lightly into place (with the flat end facing into the carbs), this would verify the press fit.

You should be able the remove the OEM main air jets (NOT main jets) by carefully pulling/levering them out.
 
I am really quite open to suggestions as to how to achieve the prying out of these items
 
I haven't done the removal or even seen the part other than in a schematic, so I am reluctant to give advice for something that doesn't have an obvious solution. With that disclaimer, from looking at the carb schematic it looks like you might be able to get a pick with a 45? bend in the inside hole and pull it out.

If this doesn't seem practical, I would be inclined to send an email or make a phone call to Dynojet for some expert advice.
 
Sorry I gave you bad advice, but the parts list description for the main air corrector, part no. DCO301 in Dynojet's instructions is incorrect and misleading.

I said that the main air corrector was a replacement for the main air jet because I used Dynojet's PDF instruction file - part no 3103.003 for U.S. models GS1000,1000 8-valve Stage 1&3. The main air corrector is part no DCO301. In the Parts List DCO301 is described as Main Air Jet.

I'm glad that you contacted Dynojet to get the right answer.:)
