A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

You'll get your parts, but be prepared to w...a...i...t... seller ID is metzger208 and ebay store is Wreckless Racing.

This seller carries a lot of small consumables for lots of bikes - levers, cables, etc. I was excited to be able to buy several items for several of my bikes, and supposedly they combine shipping.

Combined shipping is where the first of the problems started. When I went to pay for three items, not only did ebay's system not combine the shipping, but it was much higher than the totals posted in the auctions. Over $21 for three small items - two cables and a lever. Should have been about $5.50 if combined, about $15 if uncombined according to the amounts listed in the auction. It also wasn't clear if the combined shipping was only for like items, or for anything you buy, and I like to follow the seller's terms, so...

I "request total from seller" and no answer, day after day. In a week's time, I sent FOUR requests, while meanwhile getting the automated request to send payment, still with the outrageously high shipping amount. IOW, NO COMMUNICATION whatsoever.

So finally I decide to enter a seller discount to bring the amount down to the highest amount for one of the items. Then I wait to see if the seller is going to hassle me about it. A WEEK later, I get the automated "your item has been shipped" which doesn't mean the items have actually been shipped, just that the seller entered the shipping info with Paypal.

Four days later, the package arrived, sent Priority Mail from Idaho, so it wasn't likely shipped that day.

The parts are made by Parts Unlimited and appear to be as described, but I haven't tried them out to see if they fit yet. Today I got the automated "please leave feedback" email... I guess they're in a hurry to get yet another neutral... I won the items on April 7th & received them on April 23rd or 24th.

Bottom line - if you're only ordering parts as back-up and are not in a hurry for them, the prices were decent, they carry lots of items for several makes, but you'll have to figure out the combined shipping total by entering a seller discount. Do not expect any communication or responses to anything from them at all. They offer a 7 day MBG but I wouldn't count on it since I don't think they read their mail... ever.

Thanks for the headsup. Sounds like a place that I will avoid.
