A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I have a perplexing problem that I would entertain the thoughts of any ideas that you may suggest that i have not already thought of and checked myself. I have a 85 GS 1150EF Canadian model Suzuki( three settings in the front damping, air & spring tension settings) after replacing the front tire with a match to the rear I find that I get a wobble when I take both hands off the bars. Now I don't know if it was present before the new tire cause the old front tire was worn out and I didn't test it with hands off! The new tire is balanced and when I spin it on the centre stand there is no visible warp in the new tire or wheel? I have also checked the triple tree for slop also the wheel bearings what else could I check????

If everything looks okay at the front, I'd check the alignment on the back wheel.

I had and occasionally still have a wobble on my '83 GS750 with 16" front wheel and have a couple of observations. It's been my experience that any or all of the following can cause the wobble as you describe.
1. Too wide of front tire... +1 from stock is Ok.
2. Low air pressure...mine needs about 35+ psi.
3. Slightly loose Nut on Steering stem...Checking mine they seemed ok, but I could get just slighty more turn without binding the front end and it made a great difference.

Yes I agree Try to check steering stem I had same problem tightened 1/8-1/4 turn fixed the problem. Try it. Make sure it doesn't bind so don't over tighten it

I noticed that my bike felt different in turns right as opposed to left. After i changed and corrected the level of oil in the forks (they had different amounts) the bike handled better. Would different oil levels cause a wobble?

I had a wobble just like you described . I balanced the front wheel and tightened the steering stem nut a little and the problem went away.
