All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I probably won't be getting it as he thinks that he is one of our members from the LA area and believes that it is made from pure 24K gold.
He says that he has $800 into it (so what???) and doesn't run.
He also says that he painted it some ugly orange color a couple of years ago.

You can barely make out the color on the fender in this pic.
And, that #3 carb is leaking fuel the last time that he rode it 3 years ago.

It is about 65 miles each way to see it but, I can ride through Genoa to get there and back. ;)

Either way, I will have a nice 4th of July ride. :D

Man I feel your pain- I can't even count how many dogs I went to see.
The one I did buy current- was listed as mint condition- LoL
Broken float post, 2 burned out pistons and a blown head. Mint Condition.
I bet the fuel leak in 3 is fixed and plugged and filled with varnish by now@!
Good Luck- it's hard.

That "$800" he's got into the bike, is likely what he "purchased" the bike for. Then realized how bad he got taken for, now he's looking for another sucker to pawn it off to!

I didn't get to check that one out yesterday as he had prior appointments.
Called this morning and pretty much the same deal.
Trying to hook up tomorrow.
He is a good 'ol country boy and we will get along just fine. ;)

Where is it at?
I'd offer $350 at most since the motor is worth that if good.

Just over the State line towards Bishop,CA.
I am aware of that.
If it was near LA, "I could sell that for $1,000 in parts."
He has a clear title and has owned it for years. ;)

Finally going to make the hour and a half (Or more) trip each way to see it.
If it doesn't have the tank/seat part on it, mine is no longer for sale. ;)

He had to pay back TAXES/FINES/ETC.as it had a Cali****youfornia title.
Wiring problems from the previous owner and he painted over the Krylon special previous paint job.
New Saddleman seat cover and rebuilt brake calipers.
Forks polished and leaking oil.
He bought a new Avon rear tire for it and the front was fairly new.
He was stuck on getting $800 for it and I was not impressed.
