    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Good thing GS members are extra patient for the procrastinators.

Okay it was a rainy day..a really rainy day in FL.

So I decided to actually do another "mandatory upgrade" to my electrical system. A jumper from RR base direct to the battery negative post. I really did think this would be overkill.

No wonder people are stealing copper out of houses they charged me $5 for only 10ft of #10 braided automotive wire.

The results are just as impressive as when I replaced all the bullet connectors from the Stator system with the recommended clips.

Now, not only does the bike register 13.8V at idle but maintains no less than 13.6V at any rpm or load or battery condition and stays there unless I'm sitting at idle with the brake lights, headlight and turnsignals on.

You folks are the best. Hope you remain patient as there are literally dozens of more cool upgrades on this site and I'm sure to have more really rainy days over the next 5 years:)

no need to wait for the rain

no need to wait for the rain

just find a gs member up north (canada maybe?), ride up there and you should have plenty of time for the other mods to your bike :D

Hey, with all this global warming, you can ride almost 10 months of the year now. Hell I was golfing in Jan last year, and every once in a while you'll see some crazy Canuck riding his bike in -10 weather.....not me thou

With the Canadian Dollar worth 40% more down in USA now we are being overrun by them on a buying binge for winter homes AND permanent retirement homes. Makes me wonder who's minding their store? Arabs? Asians? Another 15% of our county is from UK as the pound is worth $2 now and they think any gas under $12/gallon is a bargain. At least they all speak English and tend to be polite.
