Altough i love my air filterbox ( easy to remove vs 1000, easy acces to carburettors) there is something that?s bothers me.
The pipe where the breatherhose is connected is rusting away and leaves bits of rusts in the pipe.
The top part of the airbox has a path straight to the airfilter (not through the filter)
If the breather is blowing and the airbox is sucking, loose rust bits would be forced in that direction.
If the rust can follow this path rust will go straight in the cylinders !
This is something they could not forsee in in 1977 but seems a real danger.
A solution might be, cut off the rusty pipe and plug the hole.
Use a long hose and make a breather near the battery.
Anyone has the same problem ?
And a different solution ?
