A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

GS1100L front blinker wiring

Hello all.
I've just removed a windjammer and installed a salvage headlight and blinkers. Most of the wiring was self explanatory due to like connectors. I've got several left to connect the front blinkers, but too many and too confusing. The wiring diagram on Cliff's site didn't clear things up for me.

Has anybody come across this dilemma?

I've spent an hour and a half trying to organize pics and attach them, it's not working.
The wires are
double light blue
double black
double brown
single grey
double black/ white tracer
single black /white tracer

Each blinker has a black and brown wire.

Check which blinkers you have. Are they twin filament bulbs for daytime running lights?

I was just thinking you might have the wiring for twin filaments going to single blinkers.

I would put a meter across them (or a test bulb) and switch things on to see what does what.

Well, I took another look at the wiring diagram and the connections worked out fine. Just as the diagram, and Gustovh said, the brown isn't used. There are a couple that aren't used actually. I had some crossed, that's why they came on all the time, now only when they're blinking as single filament should be right.
Thanks for the replies
Could have saved time by printing a better quality diagram from Cliffs site right off the bat. The first was hard to read.
