    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi everyone am newbie here
I bought this bike about a months ago
Gsx 400f 1982 which I always want one
Bought it non runner until last two weeks I manage to get it running all most fine but now and then it just
Switch off and can't get it to run until I put my hand on the carb to cough on all four
I finding it hard to identify or find any info on these carbs::: ID 33202 26mm mikuni d311
Currently main jet 140
Pillot jet 44
Air correction 180
I clean these carbs more time in the last months than anythingIMG_20180705_230027_396.jpg
It really helpful if I could get more info please

I don't believe thes3 carbs belong to the bike
 
In your first post, it's hard to tell if the carbs are connected to an air filter or filter pods. The second post shows no air filter box or pods. Are you trying run this bike with no air filter before the carbs?!
 
I know this is a pretty common thing for everyone to ask, but have you checked the valve lash? When they get tight they will get harder to start and may need you to cover the ends of the carbs or use starting fluid to get them to start.

Well after I did valve clearance which was very tight. it run a bit better then I swap for a smaller main jet 97.5 drill to 105 and drop needle to the last setting :) it ran like a rocket with straight 4 to 1 exhaust and no filters am very impressed with handling and performance also the throttle response 😊
Which I can't really believe it a four hundred four?
Don't not sure may be the carbs don't belong to this?
