A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ok normally i would not bother you guys for this but i'm stuck. I have used this website before to customize my GS 1100e into one of Katmans bikes. Works and runs fantastic btw looks crazy sexy. But I bought my fiancee a 79 GS425e when i was parting out bikes for a living awhile back, and i couldn't part it out as much as i need to for money i couldn't bring myself to do it. Pretty much everything on the bike is cherry except a dent in the tank and faded paint.
So heres the problem I NEED DIAPHRAGMS BADLY!! I have looked all over this web site and very few people have these bikes or know much about them. I can't find a deffinit answer asto what carbs they are for sure. I read somewere that the carbs are the same as the xs650. Well i bought a pair of diaphragms for those and there not the same not even close. I have seen some Europian places that might have them but then i wonder what will get lost in translation between bike names and if there really the same. So PLEASE Help a brother out!! My fiancee is already lookin up motorcycle classes and my buddy wants to borow it to take his endorsement test. Any info would be fantastic, thanks in advance guys you all have helped me and my fellow zuki riders with infoso many times.

They should be Mikuni BS34's. Why not post an ad in the Wanted to Buy forum? The 1000/1100 bikes have the same carbs so the slides should work in yours.

Take some pics of the carbs and show them to the masses. Someone will know what they are and may have the diaphrams in a box somewhere.:)

I've got a couple spare diaphragms from GS450 carburetors (Mikuni BS34). If they are a match for what you need, I can help you out. Send me a private message if you're interested.

Oops. Nevermind. I just looked at the fiche for your bike and the diaphragm for the 425 is different from the 450. Good luck with the "parts wanted" section or eBay... you'll find it soon enough.
