I picked up a 1983 gs1100e , that was stored outside for over 2 years. I cleaned it up, cleaned the carbs, got it to spark. And got it to start and idle. Oh also I got a new battery and fully charged it on my trickle charger. The problem is , it cranks and turns over but it seems like it struggles and the battery wire gets warm from the struggling of the starter. I then spin the crank with a wrench and its very free and easy. Then i remove the starter cover and found that the 2 10mm bolts that hold it down was loose. So i tighten it and its still the same. Then i drain the oil to check it and noticed it was like milksshake. But im guessing it was prolly from rain afterfll its been stored outside for over 2 years. So i replaced it with new oil and put a new oil filter. So now I try and crank it again , and still its having a hard time turning over, Oh also the starter gets really warm from struggling to start . Anyone have this problem before?Could it be a clogged oil pump?
