A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

If you are looking for OEM parts try this.

I am amazed how many parts are still available through Suzuki, check the part number and order at your local bike store/Suzuki dealer, I have done this dozens of times with small and large parts, for instance GS1000S mirrors are still being sold new, like the unique to this model handlebars, lots of little covers and brackets and stuff too, missing a chromed cover for your air fork valve? still available at $10 :D
My non-dealer bike shop has my order ready for me in 2-3 days, a few weeks if it has to come from Japan.

Robin, I put regular superbike bars on my 1000 and with the S model fairing and mirrors I cannot see anything in the mirrors. How are the S model bars differant? I may need to get a pair so my motorcycle doesn't remain the 4 mirrored monster

There's really not a lot different between the bars, in fact some superbike bars are exactly the same spec. Guess you just have to get used to looking at your elbows. Besides just gas it and don't look back. LOL.

Yeah but I cannot see behind me at all! As in, even if I pull my elbow in and lean over. If there is a car behind me, there is no way to see it unless your going through a turn. I had to put the bar mirrors back on. This can't be right?

The bars I have I think are the original Suzuki bar and they measure 29" wide. And yeah, visability really sucks with the "S" mirrors. Looking at mine they could probably be shortened another 1/2' on each side giving a width of 28" but that's not going to buy me much extra visability. Luckily I live and ride mostly in a rural setting with little to no traffic and no multi lane highways so I can live with it. Heavier traffic areas would be a real issue with the poor visability. I guess they should have put them on a Hardley .....they cool but don't work. LOL.

I've used them a couple of times; they are the most expensive, but they had what I needed (or found it) and even sent me side covers that their website said were discontinued. Haha! Now that's service.

They don't communicate, though, between the sale and the delivery.
