A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So there I am perusing CL when what should I happen upon in my search for available young women?? That's right, a Harley pan head for sale... and he had some gsxr forks as we'll for cheap. So I made the contact and hauled ass to his house to snag this fine piece of sexy suspension. I get these forks home and realize I'm not 100% sure what they came off of. So I look at some pics of gsxr1100 and 1000 forks (6 pot calipers) and I'm all like "WTF mate?!" Which forks are these?

Any ideas? I'll try to get a couple more pics later.

None, but I'd be like WTF mate. nailed myself a nice set of usd's and six pots with a clean.

Hi,

It looks like the 2001 and 2002 GSX-R1000 used the 6-pot Tokico calipers.

Thank you for your indulgence,

See I was thinking the same thing but I thought the 00' and up 1000 w/ 6 pots were anodized gold? From what I can tell the bandit and the gsxr1100 were also offered with a 6 pot brake set. I looked at the top clamp and the loop for the ignition has been cut off and ground down. It was aligned in the center if that helps. I also took some measurements and the wide portion is 54mm and the thin portion is 50mm.

What happened with the Pan Head??

look like TL1000s or Hyabusa forks. wither way your good to go.. those are the most mother blessed calipers to bleed. good luck.

What happened with the Pan Head??

He wanted $1500 for the pan head. If I had the money if go back and buy it. I picked up a set of gsxr 110 wheels now to go with the forks. Are there and differences in brakes between these bikes with 6 pots?

After some careful research I have discovered that these are 99 GSXR 750 forks.
