Just an update..

It runs!

The inside of my tank is full of rust, so I used a makeshift gas tank just to see if my carb cleaning efforts paid off. And whaddya know, she fired up almost instantly.

Just want to say thanks to everyone who has helped me along thus far! Next up - clean the gas tank!

aaand here's a pic of the beast herself. i do plan on removing the skulls that the PO added.

Congrats ! Thats a good thing. That burnt up pipe may not be. Is there any filter oil on those pods ? She may be running a bit lean.

Hmm probably not, where would I purchase some?

Also I'm sure it was running lean in the past because the PO had those pods and pipes on without any carb work. I put in larger main jets and did some needle shimming when I went through the carbs, hopefully she'll be running about right after that.

Before you oil the pods, find out what kind they are.
I have heard that EMGO pods are meant to be run dry, but K&N pods require oil.
Not sure about others.
