A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Looking for key code on locks

I had my keys come out of the ignition while riding yesterday so now I'm trying to find the key codes from my locks. The locks aren't original to the bike. I bought a ignition, gas cap, seat, and helmet lock set with a matching key to all four last year. Thought I had a spare with the set but can't find it. I've pulled the ignition and seat lock, also have the helmet lock as I never put it on, and am trying to find the key code. I've found a number on the seat lock, and on the ignition. They don't match and are setup different. There is nothing on the helmet lock. Seat lock reads 229, seems like the best match. Ignition reads ll9-ll11, makes no sense at first but might be 911. I'm just looking for someone with more experience to take a look and see if the seat lock 229 is the code I'm looking for. Pic are bellow. Any help is greatly appreciated!

911 is not a code, 229 is a valid number.

If the ignition is OEM Suzuki then the code on the ignition is opposite where the wire enters the back of the lock.

BTW I can cut keys to code on the plastic headed keys, $10.00 each shipped. (2 weeks by regular mail)

David.

Thanks for the advice! Let's see what we have there.

Oh! 229 you say! Well that confirms it. Thanks again, Kiwi Canuck!

BTW that key you linked to may not go into the ignition far enough, make sure you get the longer key.

You know your stuff, David. The key is not long enough for ignition. Looks like I'll be using the mismatched keys and locks till I can get a longer key cut.
