A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Oh yeah! That's looks more natural (see mine in my sig).

I want your seat! :D

That looks much better! If you haven't already, stick a SilverStar bulb in there...you'll be impressed!

Is it possible to put one like that on my 82 850G?

Probably...might need new mounting ears...
The problem will be finding one...you don't see them for sale very often.
I got lucky....

Ha! Umm.....no. :p

Ah Good!

Actually it is a nice seat. Don't know who made it, but it looks good. Has one small tear on a rear corner...

Aw shucks. Sounds like you'll be getting a new seat, soon. When you do, I'll supply my adress for that one. LOL!

How comfortable is it? It looks like the seat foam might be a bit thin. I think I've seen Corbin seats like that.

I find it very comfortable, but I haven't been on it for a long ride yet and I've never sat on a stock seat...
I like it because I'm only about 5'7" and I can put my feet on the ground easily....

Ah....I'm 6'3". So the stock seat might be a better height for me.

Yeah, I have the same problem....I'm 6'3" too and while I love the look and feel of a cutdown seat.....I really don't want to be any lower to the ground than I already am sitting on the stock seat.....bummer....

what model yammy was the square one off and what are the dimensions.

might look good on my 1150

never understood why the 1150 had loads of square angular lines to the body work and then they fitted the round search light .....just daft .

I did a lot of searching and to the best of my knowledge it's off an '80-'81 XS1100....
It's about 23cm wide by 18cm high....

HTH,

I can definitely vouch for the Silverstar headlight. In conjunction with the crystal headlight I put in the bike, my bike lights up the road damn well.

I'd get one.
