A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Spent the Day at Hallett. Only 3 riders all day. We got two 20 minute sessions each hour. I am worn out... here are a couple pics. Sorry about the sizing. Photobucket stinks.

I hope to have the 1979 GS1000S Wes Cooley Replica and my 1972 GJ750J Water Buffalo done by next year to do this again. I'm also in the middle of redoing a 1983 GSX550ES for a track Bike.

Such a deal....a whole track almost all to yourself.....lucky man.

The vids are excellent and give you that seat of the pants experience. Love the sound of that Kaw spooling up. That Guzzi shakes like my old 6fiddy but looks like it smoothes right out on the throttle. I've never seen one outside of the bike shows but it looks like something I'd like to try.

I haven't done a track day yet but everytime I see something like this I get the itch....maybe next year ( if I can squirrel away the cash).

Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Spyug.

Man, that looks like fun. Those are both very awesome bikes to do it with, too.

Have you started a thread about your 550 trackbike yet? I would be stoked to see some pictures when you get it going. If its anywhere near as nice as your other bikes, its gonna be sweet!

Not yet but I will. I need to go thru the AHRMA rulebook and see what I can and can't do. I'm starting with a $150 1983 GSx550ES. It doesn't look like much. It runs, has a good title and is all there.

The Eddie Lawson sounded flat at the track. It was way lean as I found out later. Me and a couple of friends rented the track for 9 hours for $1100. But we shared it with 5 cars. We would run 20 minutes then the cars would run 20 minutes. We had an hour lunch and went back to riding. I was wore out by the time we were done.
