A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Guys, I really need your advice for what could be a serious problem. I?m sure that many of you have had this experience.

I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs are there, like the phone rings, and if I answer the caller hangs up. She?s been going out with the girls a lot, she says. I don?t think this explains the bruises on her neck, mind. I try to stay awake to look out for her and check when she comes home. However I usually fall asleep and am snoring well before that. Red wine and marijuana does that to me.

Anyway last night, about midnight, I hid in the shed behind the motorcycles. When she came home she got out of someone's car, buttoning her blouse and tidying her hair. Then she took her panties out of her purse and slipped them on. She leant back in and kissed this guy, and I heard her laughing and telling him she?d see him tomorrow.

I was at that moment crouched behind my old girl in the shed. I noticed a hairline crack in a rubber, which was beginning to perish. That?s the rubber that goes in that hole on the bottom, where you push it in over the knob to hold the side cover on. I?m concerned that the cover could slip out, as the top rubbers are hard and loose too.

Are these rubber grommets for old GS side covers still available off the shelf at dealers, or should I improvise?

Sorry to here about your wife. I had my fiancee leave me and moved in with a guy that I knew the same day. We were to be married this month, but since she left me I was able to get my 1100 and meet all the wonderful people here.

I can still get the cushions for my '82. Not sure what year you need but here is a link to where I found the ones I need.

Hope this helps you out and best wishes,

Hi,

I thought your post was in the wrong section at first.

New rubber grommets are cheap. I just checked and they are still listed as available on a couple of parts fiches, a couple bucks each. Look on the "Frame Cover" page.

Thank you for your indulgence,

A serious problem indeed, i suggest you contact your nearest dealer right away, nothing worse than loosing a side cover
