So I am moving along on the resto/mod of my gs11ez, looking to get some new sprockets and a 530 chain. From what i have read closest to stock is 17/48, I think thats what I am gonna use for daily use.
however,
I have a track date set with my little brother and his r6 and I am planning on woopin his butt down the quarter mile. My question is, what would be a good ballpark for gearing that would be a bit more specific for strip use? If this isn't feasable let me know, Im new to this whole thing.
Do I need a seperate chain for the different gearing or would they be close enough I could use the same one.
I am planning on running smoothbores on her, which brings up one last question, would a big bore/carb change etc effect the gear ratio you would use?
