Picked up a 650 project with a bad transmission. I swapped over the pistons, cylinder, and head over to a engine I had with a good transmission. I'm getting around 60psi now across the board with my compression tester and it will not start. I put oil in one cylinder which bumped it up about 10 psi but still low. I believe my timing is correct but I want to double check before I tear into it and get new rings.
T 1-4 lined up with mark. Chain pulled tightly across the exhaust cam and installed with 1 parallel to head
20 links between 2 arrow and 3 arrow with 2 arrow pointing to pin 1 and 3 arrow pointing to number 20.
Tensioner installed with the locknut backed off a quarter of a turn.
Am I missing something? Any thoughts on the situation? Thanks in advance.
