I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Getting closer to finnishing the loose wires on my bike. I suspect this wire that comes from engine bottom end, goes to the solenoid and attaches to the bolt on the solenoid. See picture.

does it come out of the area of the drive sprocket cover or is it bolted to the motor? If bolted to the motor then it's the ground. (Can't really see the picture well enough to tell).

It is coming from ca midle of engine, rear part and top of the engine block. This picture might help out more?

This is how the wire looks like when i pulled it out. If these pics still are too small to watch i can post it on Flickr to get larger pics with better resolution. After i come home from work.

the solenoid wire never goes near the innards of the engine. The black wire with eye-lugs looks like some kind of added ground wire but can't see much from these pix.

To post bigger pix, upload a jpg that's about 800 to 1024 pixels wide, then double click the picture in the preview and choose medium or full size .

If the picture dimensions are beyond 1024, pick medium so it fits the width of my browser's page...scrolling a picture sideways is annoying too

Thanx. Will get better pix and just upload to Flickr.

Do you know what wire will go to the bolt on solenoid? And where that wire comes from? I can?t see to find any that suits that bolt.

The wire that goes on the solenoid mounting bolt is the ground for all of the electrical panel. It should be black with a white stripe and go into the harness
If that black wire connects to ground, you should be OK

The striped wire in the first photo (green/yellow?) is the trigger wire for the solenoid. It goes back up to the starter button

Yeah that looks like an added ground (earth). On my 1000's the large starter wire goes from the solenoid through the back of the sprocket cover. Does that sound correct guys?

Those BIG bolts are for BIG red wires. POSITIVE. + One from the battery, and one to the bolt on the starter.

The black wire with the yellow covered lugs MAY have gone to the starter motor. That's my suspicion .It's not an OEM wire -that's for sure.

Have a look down at the starter motor and see if there's a wire attached!
