A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I've bored out my GS1150 to accept the Wisco 1199 piston kit. Does anyone have an idea on how much the jetting should change? Do I simply change the main jet by 2 sizes?

Thanks
Bob

I would only go up 1-2 sizes on the main jet to start with. You will also need to re-adjust the mixture screws as the bigger bore will increase the vacuum signal to the carbs & pull more fuel. You may even find that the needles will need to be a little richer. Ray.

I would wait and when run in do a plug chop, my GSX1100 SZ katana always ran slightly rich on the standard jetting, after a rebore and wiseco 1166 pistons plus a K&N replacement panel filter the mixture on standard jets was spot on.

Thanks for replying Ray, when you say that I may need to adjust the needles, what exactly are you refering to?

Thanks
Bob

The needles inside the carb slides. If you don't have a jet kit, with adjustable needles, in your carbs that needs to be your next purchase. Are you running stock exhaust? Ray.

Do you want more power or are you just one to like it all stock? I ask because there is a pretty good gain in power & weight reduction if you go to a 4 into 1 & individual filters. If you want, give me a call at 714-356-7845 as it will be easier for me to talk on the phone than to type all this stuff out. Ray.

Thanks Ray, I'll call you on Wednesday.

I'm in Ottawa Canada, what would be a good time for you?
