    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Seems like it wants to run out of fuel.

Okay so I noticed when I ride my bike that when I accelerate and then back off the throttle to cruz it hesitates. It does it when barley give it gas. Also yesterday I was riding up a hill and 70 mpg in 5 gear and the bike just started dying completely not turning off but now power. I pulled over and was still rolling giving her throttle and she would bog but kept running. I dropped gears and she actually pepped up and kept me going to my destination like normal with the weird hesitation that I described above. I am not sure if this is a carb issue could they all be bad at once or a vacuum issue? Any input would be greatly appreciate. OH yea 1982 gs 850
 
Might try checking the petcock, put it on prime and ride it and see if it still happens. If you haven't cleaned carbs. properly could be the problem. terrylee
 
I stand by Berrymans B12 Chemtool over Seafoam. But that's just my preference of course.
 
Fuel lines can collapse and starve fuel if they are too big and routed wrong. I did that when I first got my bike and ran an additional fuel filter. It took me a while to figure that one out, but did the same thing yours is doing. It would collapse under demand and run when I would pull over and reduce fuel demand.

Agreed. Berrymans B12 is great for a fast, aggressive cleaning. I like to have as little gas as possible in the tank (at least 1 gallon or less) then add a full bottle. It will clean as well as your ever going to get from a "fix a carb from a can" aspect.

I use Seafoam more as an additive, maybe an ounce or three per everyother tank of gas
 
Throw it on "reserve" and see if it does the same thing. If it does, then you should run some chemical through it; Listen to what the bros say.

MOST IMPORTANT PART... Does it have a full tank of gas when it does this?
