    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Stator and contact breaker cover emblems

So I'm in the process of refinishing all my engine side covers and during the course of my research and picture browsing, I have came to the conclusion that I would like to replace the emblems in both the breaker cover and the stator cover. I have an 80 gs750l which has silver emblems. I would like to have black ones. I know they don't come in black for my bike, however I know other models have them but I'm unsure if they will work. The size of my emblems are 3.5 inches in diameter for the breaker cover and almost 4 inches in diameter for the stator cover emblem. About 3 and 7/8's. I did just a really quick measure. I'm sure the emblems are going to be the same thickness so really all I'm concerned about is the diameter of the emblems. Anyone happen to have a bike with black emblems that knows the diameter or would be willing to measure them? Thanks!
 
The classic black ignition cover emblem is 80mm. Not sure about the stator cover emblem. I do know the black emblems are discontinued though.
 
Yeah that's the same size as mine. I'm guessing they are all the same. I see them on suzuki oem parts sites as in stock. I wonder if it's an error. Guess I'm going to have to check it out.

Try the search function here for more details on engine emblems. Basically, the black emblems are superseded. They pop up on ebay from time to time and go for big bucks.
