A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

CafeKid you did some good work. How would you use a prefab piece. And making it fit with the stock side covers.

Got a pic of what you're working with? I made my entire seatpan/tailpiece from scratch, so i had the benifit of making it how i wanted it. But if you have a pic of what you have going on, id be happy to give you my ideas/pointers on what *I* would suggest doing

wow that gs250 looks amazing, makes me wanna go rip up my 450 right now and copy yer ideas. looks like a blast to ride aswell but how are those handlebars and seat setup on yer back?

i need to ask...

i need to ask...

i have posted a few other places and i figured id try this thread...

i am trying to get me hands on a gs40 tank...the cafe style with the knee indents. what are the chances you have one?

anyone know where to get the exhaust thats on this bike? i really like the look but have no idea where to start looking for them

It looks like a custom fab, well he removed the old mufflers and used a generic muffler like you can get from dennis kirk.

This is an interesting thread to read through.

I saw the first page and the reasoning for the bike, something for his girlfriend and daughter to learn on... then he says therefor it needs the cafe treatment?

I was scratching my head already cause the bike on the trailer looked perfect for that... maybe when they learn and dump it a few times and are ready to move on you do that.

Anyways was not surprised to fast forward and read he pushed them away from motorcycles to scooters as a cafe style bike really isnt a good starter bike.

I took some more pics behind my house today... I am digging this lightweight bike!... I got to ride throug the hilly canyons you see in the background.

Where is all your electrical stuff? Fuse box, battery, R/R, etc??

yeah it looks like he just chopped off the stock mufflers but im wondering what kinda mufflers he put on in place of the stock ones, i liek the look of those and think they would go well with my gs450l

that's jcwhitney and I'm pretty sure dennis kirk has them also but I can't get around their site, if you get the catalog you should be able to find it.

Yous kids is wasting your breath. He's not been on here in forever, and he owes some people here money or parts or something, so i doubt we'll see him again. For the record, his electrics are tucked under the tail cowl. Mine soon will be too...
