DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Just replaced my stock turn signals with lower profile bulb signals and an odd thing occurred. Left turn-signals work normal, right-front signal is solid(no flash) and right-rear signal does nothing. I'm horrible with electrical troubleshooting. The battery was disconnected for the install, and I simply unplugged the old signals and plugged in the new ones. Ideas?

switch the front and rear signal on the right. if the rear one lights up and the front one does nothing then you have a bad bulb. if the front one lights up and the rear does nothing again then you may have a short or bad connection in the wiring

oh btw. i have an 81 850g that im parting out if you need anything

Just a thought but I just installed front only signals on my 750 and needed to switch to an electronic flasher unit..they work perfect..if the signals are led or arent drawing enough amps they wont flash correctly..sounds like that may be your issue if you simply did a plug in install..I think the flasher was like $9 at any auto store...hope this helps..

So as you found out and it was mentioned if:

1 side flashes then the flasher works.

1 bulb is burnt out then the other will remain solid. This is likely a safety feature so you see the lack of flashing means a bulb is burnt out (on that side).

OR you just don't have good contact with a wire, which is like having a burnt-out bulb?

My experience on my 850 is the ground wire is not grounded well. I fixed the ground and all is good again.

If you want to summarize, if one light comes on and stays on, there is a problem with the other bulb on that side.
Might be bad bulb, broken wire, bad contact, who knows, but for some reason, the other bulb is not working.

That makes sense. Thanks Steve.
