I think all GS owners that can't get the good carb cleaner should consider this option.
So I sent my carbs off to cliff (1978GS1000custom) so he could send them on a trip in his ultrasonic cleaner, and these are the results. Before, they bodies were a dark gray, and really smooth looking (lots of oil/gas over the years)
Now look at the bowls!
He quoted me 30, but I sent him $40 just in case shipping went over, and it was well worth it. Carbs are practically spotless!!! He even pulled off the mix screw covers for me. Highly recommended!
